Consumerist Crap & Planned Obsolescence

Updated: Jul 2, 2022

[The following blogpost is one of a series of subjects originally published mid 2021 under the website section:

Universal Asylum raises further counts of Aggravated Criminal Negligence against the Australian & World Governments for the failure to adequately regulate consumerist industries against planned obsolescence & other insidious business tactics needlessly producing excess waste.

Acknowledging this is not entirely black & white, & that in certain cases & under responsibly established & regulated conditions that planned obsolescence may in fact be ecologically responsible in relation to some products, Universal Asylum also recognises that is unreasonable to expect outdated governmental systems to keep up with the rapidly increasing technological advancements of recent decades.

Thus Universal Asylum advises world leaders that great considerations needs to be invested in establishing systems capable of providing social & ecologically responsible regulation of consumerist industries.
